Service Description

This class blends pilates, barre and dance conditioning exercises to support your training in burlesque movement and dancing/walking in heels. Sessions focus on building core strength, balance, posture, and body awareness, alongside simple, accessible movement sequences. The structure is supportive and progressive, with exercises and choreographed sequences designed to develop confidence and physical control over time. No previous dance experience is required. This class is well suited to people who are new to dance, returning to fitness/movement after a break, or looking to improve strength and movement quality in a low-pressure, movement-focused environment. WHAT TO WEAR/BRING: Comfortable clothes you can move freely in, socks with grippy soles, water, yoga mat, stretchy resistance band (flat and wide band), and a stretchy resistance loop (thinner and a circle). ** PLEASE NOTE: Class/Course bookings are not refundable.** If you are new to our classes, feel free to look at our Instagram (@glasgowschoolofburlesque) to see the kinds of things people do/wear etc. We are a friendly bunch so feel free to come in and just say hello! to anyone and ask questions. WHEN: 6pm - 7:30pm WHERE: Studio #4 at Studio 22, 22 Jamaica Street, Glasgow ACCESSING THE STUDIO: PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME. Press the buzzer on the street and come up to Level 2 (stairs or lift). Once in the reception area on Level 2, Studio 4 is the last on the left down the corridor. WHEN YOU ARRIVE: There are toilets and a changing area but feel free to arrive fully ready for class.
