Silk Veil Fan Dancing

Service Description

Try the beauty, grace, and creativity of silk veil fans with a modern twist.​ Dancing with fans originated in east Asia but has evolved across many forms and in many cultures, including as a prop in modern burlesque dance. This couse will introduce you to the basics of dancing with veil fans and how we integrate this with burlesque performance and narrative. Across these 3 weeks you will learn sections of non-progressive choreography to different types of music and engage with different exercises to bulid narrative and your own chorgraphy as well. Fans are provided but you are welcome to bring your own pair. Spaces are extremely limited (6 only). ​ Cost: £40 for 3 x 90 minute classes Where: Studio 4 (back studio) @ Studio 22 When: Tuesdays 8 - 9:30pm
