Charleston Jazz-a-ma-tazz!

Service Description

Throw off your corset and learn the dance of joy and liberation! Charleston, vintage jazz, and blues came from the streets and the dive bars of America to create a cultural revolution that spread all over the world. Ranging from high-energy to smooth and slow we will explore movement to everything from Dizzy Gillespie to the dirges of New Orleans. This 4-week course will include technique, conditioning, musicality, and group choreography that is built up over over the course. WHEN: 8-9:30pm WHERE: Studio 4 (back studio) at Studio 22 WHAT TO WEAR/BRING: water, comfortable clothing, flat shoes or low dance heels with a slippery sole (NOT rubber soles), or socks.
